MISSION: The Mission of Le Villageois is to offer a dynamic lifestyle and affordable top quality services to our residents, while fulfilling their social, cultural, physical, emotional and spiritual needs, in a respectful environment recognizing each resident’s individuality and dignity.
WHO WE ARE:
Le Villageois is a not for profit organization incorporated in 2001. Its Board of Directors is made up of volunteers elected by the Members. The owners of units are members of the Corporation and hold the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting.
The construction of this retirees’ housing complex began in August 2007; occupation is scheduled for early Summer 2009.
The complex is made up of 38, 2 and 1 bedroom units and 24 rooms in the assisted-living component (Le Villageois Retirement Residence), along with several common areas and accommodations for guests/visitors.
Le Villageois is situated on a 43-acre property in the heart of the Village of Lafontaine, just a few steps from a church, a convenience store, a deli/restaurant; and across the road from the Credit Union, the LCBO, the Township park and the Community Centre.

VISION:
Imagine a lifestyle similar to a resort complex! This is what the Board of Directors of Le Villageois wish to offer its residents. The large 43-acre property with its gently sloping terrain, its creek and wooded area will allow many dreams to come true.
The community of Le Villageois plans in the near future: raised gardens making it possible for all residents to enjoy growing their own vegetables and flowers; a gazebo in a parkland setting adjacent to the creek creating an ambiance conducive to relaxation; walking trails to enhance great physical well-being; a picnic area to enjoy more fully the benefits of our great summer days. In addition, as time goes on, we hope to add a shuffleboard game, lawn bowling, mini golf, etc.
In winter, amateurs of the great outdoors will be able to enjoy the invigorating sports of cross-country skiing or snow shoeing without leaving home. Several other winter centres are within a short distance: Lafontaine Park, Awenda Provincial Park and Wye Marsh, to name but a few.
A full range of activities and amenities for inside and outside the complex are in the planning stage and will be put in place as the needs and wishes of the residents become known and funds are available.
